McMinnville Rotary Club Foundation Scholarship Program

Supporting the Future of Yamhill County Students

The McMinnville Rotary Club Foundation is proud to offer scholarship opportunities to graduating seniors throughout Yamhill County. Our mission is to help make higher education accessible and achievable for students who are ready to take the next step after high school.

We are especially committed to supporting students who may not otherwise pursue higher education by providing financial scholarship opportunities that help remove barriers and open doors.

Who Should Apply?

We encourage all graduating seniors planning to continue their education to apply, including those attending:

  • Universities

  • Community Colleges

  • Trade or Vocational Schools

Students with a GPA between 2.75 and 3.50 are especially encouraged to apply, though students with higher GPAs are also eligible and welcome.

How Are Scholarships Awarded?

Applications are reviewed by the McMinnville Rotary Club Foundation Scholarship Selection Committee. Scholarships are awarded based on a combination of:

  • Financial need

  • Personal character

  • Commitment to service

  • Academic record

  • Demonstrated interest in continuing education

All committee decisions are final.

Scholarship Opportunities

Each year, the Rotary Foundation provides 12 total scholarships, including:

General Scholarships

  • Eight general scholarships are available to qualifying graduating seniors

Degree-Specific Scholarships

  • Cy Jeter Scholarship — For students majoring in music or the arts

  • Arnelle Surface Scholarship — For disabled or disadvantaged students pursuing further education

  • Vasquez-Cooper Chemeketa Scholarship

  • Rotary Service Above Self Scholarship

Application Information

Schools are encouraged to share applications with students who may benefit from this opportunity, including those who may be on the cusp of deciding whether to pursue higher education.

Teachers and school staff are welcome to recommend students who demonstrate potential, service, and determination.

Schools have permission to duplicate application forms as needed.

Application Deadline:
Completed applications must be submitted by April 17, 2026.

Applications may be:

  • Picked up at your school by the deadline, or

  • Submitted via email (if arranged with Rotary contact)
